Holiday Swagger: Dresswear for the Holidays

I love the holidays. During the holidays we try to forget about the boring, the ugly, the blase. We dress everything up, from our houses, to our offices, to ourselves! I love that once a year I get to see my entire family dressed up in their fancy clothes looking amazing and smiling. It may be staged, but it reminds me every year that despite how busy, chaotic, loud, and difficult the days may be we have the choice to make them beautiful, to make them hopeful, positive, and better! This may seem like a lot to ask of one outfit, but it really does feel like my life is just a little less out of control when I have my whole family smiling happily at me in their fancy dress clothes.  The world can be a little scary , why not dress it up occasionally and enjoy it for as long as we can?

Halloween treats: Muddy Buddies!

Muddy Buddies are one of those treats that can be made for any occasion. It is simple, sweet, and can be dressed up!

This fun muddy buddies recipe was discovered by A Pumpkin and  a Princess. It features some incredible Halloween treats that will wow at your next spooky party, or can be handed out as treats at a party or for an after sports Halloween treat!

You do not have to be super impressive in the kitchen, or even incredibly crafty to create this sweet treat. That may be why it is one of my favorites for this time of year. We aren’t all super great at being that Pinterest mom, lets face it — some of us are just Prime moms. This recipe is a no-fail recipe. Thanks to A Pumpkin and  a Princess you can look like you have it all together even when you are just barely holding on this Halloween.

Be sure to check out A Pumpkin and  a Princess for some other great and simple ideas for everyday recipes and crafts while you are getting the low-down on how to create this munchies masterpiece.

Halloween Fun: Pumpkin Ideas

Every year we go to the pumpkin patch. It is tradition, and tradition states that we come home with so many pumpkins that I have no idea how we are going to carve all of them. We tend to pick the best looking pumpkins to carve, you know the ones that are rounded, no smashed in sides, and usually clean looking. The the rest of the pumpkins get put out as decorations. We even paint some of them! So this year lets get some incredible ideas for both carving and painting!

Carving:

Disney : These stencils can be easily printed and used on your pumpkin to help you carve. Simply use a toothpick to poke dots around the stencil so that you know where to carve.

Halloween Themed: Any of these fun stencils would look great on a pumpkin. You can choose from traditional jack-o-lanterns to more traditional Halloween items like skulls and tombstones.

Painted:

Harry Potter: Do you have a Harry Potter fan at home? This fun pumpkin will be sure to wow!

Emoji: These are worth a laugh and a smile!

Super Hero: These will save any boring pumpkin!!
