Are you ready for some spooky, sweet treats this Halloween? We know we are. It is almost time for some sweet treats, ghouls, costumes, and fun times. So we wanted to help you get your kids, house, and pantry ready for some great ghouly times. That is why for the rest of the mon we will be posting Halloween themed blogs. Featuring great ideas for everything in your house this Halloween.

Today we want to share a fun treat box perfect for giving out little treats at your kids school, at a party, or just to make for fun with your kids to hide their favorite treats. We found a great bat treat box when we were crawling around the web this month. These great boxes were found at Create, Celebrate, Explore, a great blog created and written by Mom Tonya from Australia. The wife of a United States Marine and Mom of a teenage boy, and twins (one boy one girl). She loves food, crafts, and finding and creating interesting things with her family. We just love her fun bat treat boxes and we are very happy to share them with you. Tonya’s tutorial can be found on her website and is very detailed for all those Moms and Dads that need a little more instruction.

What You Will Need:

Black pillow boxes
Sturdy black card (not completely stiff, you want to be able to fold it in half)
Pencil or marker (for writing on the black card)
Googly eyes
Craft glue
Scissors
Your favorite candy (pillow boxes are the perfect size for snack sized candy)

What You Will Do:

1. Begin by assembling your pillow boxes, fold them so that they form a perfect pillow shaped box.
2. Next, fold your card in half lengthwise, then put your pillow box on your black card at the crease and draw a bat wing.
3. Now cut the wing out, it can now be used as a template for the rest of the wings. Make two wings for each great box.
4. Now use craft glue to attach each wing to the back of each box.
5. Let the wings dry before flipping the over and glueing your google eyes onto the front of each box. Let dry.
6. Now that they are dry you can put your favorite treats inside! Enjoy!
