Movie night is a weekly tradition at our house. My husband and I have date night on Saturday every week, so Friday night is family night and we LOVE our movies. We usually hunker down with some amazing popcorn, some treats, and some hot cocoa on cold winter nights like these and watch a fantastic family movie. We have a great love for laughing so must movies follow along that theme, but you could very easily copy our movie night with a favorite movie of your own and some yummy treats.
In the winter we love hot chocolate. It is warm, sweet, and easy to make. My kids love having it. Mommy and Daddy drink coffee in huge mornings and they always feel left out, so hot chocolate night is a fun night because we ALL get to participate. Over the years we have made hot chocolate many different ways. We have never truly found a perfect recipe. But this new one we just tried from The Frugal Girls written by mommy of 2 Heidi. Heidi hails from the northwest, though she currently resides in the desert, so she KNOWS hot chocolate. When you deal with that much rain you must has a good defense.
We loved Heidi’s Crock Pot Hot Chocolate so much I just had to share it. These recipe will warm you up, hit that sweet tooth, and leave you wanting MORE! We combined it with the movie Jack Frost. Michael Keaton as a snowman dad, yep it’s great! Plus, it left us cold and ready for our hot chocolate. Perfect combination on a winter movie night. Go check out The Frugal Girls and all the fun recipes, crafts, and goodies. Try out the AMAZING Crock Pot Hot Chocolate. But we are pretty sure you will love it. Enjoy!
