Teacher Appreciation Day

As a former teacher I know how hard teachers work everyday. They are working to help us make better little humans. They work hard in the trenches day in and day out with kids that are loud, busy, and not always in the best mood. Sure we ALL do that, especially us moms. However, they do it with 30 kids or more in a classroom. ALL DAY LONG. I learned a long time ago that it can e a very thankless job. Especially if you get parents that believe they do not need to help or participate in their child’s education. So I have always made an effort to give back and volunteer in the classroom when I can. I also make sure to give a little token of our appreciation during Teacher Appreciation week. When my children were in preschool I even gave little gifts to the entire staff, because lets face it, toddlers are HARD and it takes a village.

This year all of my kids are in one teacher classrooms (my youngest is still home with me but will do preschool soon). This allows me to go a little bigger on gifts. This year I shared my ideas with the kids and they chose what they wanted for their teacher. I wanted to share my gifts and the options I was giving the kids. That way you can see how simple it can be to shower your teacher with a little appreciation.

String Art: We chose to go with an Apple String Art for our Kindergarten teacher this year. It was simple, sweet, and will hang in the room to keep the teacher smiling all year long. There is also a cute pencil version. We chose to make it ourselves, but you can always order at places like Etsy.

Mason Jar Gifts: These little gifts are perfect for adding something fun and functional to your teachers classroom. Since school supplies scan be hard to come by it is always nice to have them donated. With this you can give a sweet and customized mason jar and fill it with pens, markers, pencils, etc. Check out A Pumpkin and a Princess

Thanks A Latte: If you have a teacher that loves their coffee then this is perfect! You can even buy a special cup or mug or just dress it up like this! Simple, and appreciated. Check out Just Add Confetti for the tutorial and printable!
