My kids are obsessed with dinosaurs. I thought it would be a neat idea for them to create their own fun little dinosaur world. They have so many little toy dinosaurs and are constantly telling me what each dinosaur eats and where they live, I thought it was time they showed me. I have seen so many of those little fairy gardens that I thought why not a dinosaur garden? The idea is pretty simple, and leaves the creativity up to the kids. So why not?
You and your kids can get as many items as you would like. You could build your dinosaur garden in a planter, an old tire, a large apothecary bowl or jar, or even right in your own backyard. All you need is some ideas and whatever type of plants you want.
What you will need:
- plants (ivy, ferns, flowers, bushes, moss, the ideas are endless!)
- rocks (gravel, stones, sand)
- Dirt
- container
- dinosaurs
What You Will Do:
There really is no way to tell you exactly what to do. Let your kids imagine the world they believe dinosaurs lived in. Check out some of the habitats different types of dinosaurs lived in for some understanding and ideas. Or feel free to design your own little dino world!
